Crochet Your Own Cactus Pincushion for Advanced Intermediate Crocheters
Presenter
Workshop Description
What’s not to love about these adorable crochet cactus pincushions! They work equally well as holders for bracelets or hairbands.
In this Advanced Intermediate workshop, you’ll be guided through crocheting a little cactus, with options to make it your own custom creation! Step-by-step, I’ll demonstrate how to crochet the little pot and the soil. Then, we’ll crochet the cactus parts together. You can choose from a few different cactus shapes and attach them how you’d like. Then, it’s time to embellish — with mini crocheted flowers, safety eyes on the pot or the cactus, embroidery details for the mouth, nose, and/or eyelashes — whatever you wish to give your project its own fun personality! We’ll then assemble the pincushion together. A pdf pattern with full details will also be provided.

Knowledge/Equipment Required
- For this workshop, attendees must be very comfortable with crocheting in the round, keeping an even crochet tension, counting stitches and tracking rounds, working single crochet and slip stitch, and following crochet patterns. The pace of the class will be unfortunately too challenging for beginning crocheters or those who have very little experience making crochet projects.
