Introducing: The Craftcation Art Showcase
Art Showcases are an opportunity for you to imagine, propose and create a unique installation experience at Craftcation. They are designed to reflect your style, show off your talent and give you an audience for your work! We are looking for members of our community to create one-of-a kind installations that we will showcase around the hotel during Craftcation 2025.
These showcases will be on display throughout the entirety of the conference (Wednesday 4/23 through Sunday 4/27) and consist of:
- Free-standing murals
- Backdrops or sets for our business stages or craft classrooms
- Photo opportunities, props or backdrops
- Creative installations or interactive displays
Feel free to draw inspiration from this year’s theme, Craftcation Royale (click here for some design ideas), but your showcase doesn’t need to align with the theme. You’re also welcome to interpret the theme in your own unique way for your piece.

What’s the timeline and application process?
Submit your application between the open and close dates below. A jury will review the applications based on originality, and feasibility.

Is there compensation for being involved in this awesome project?
Yep! Approved showcase artists will receive a complimentary ticket to Craftcation 2025 AND be entered to win a complimentary ticket to Craftcation 2026.
Do you provide any supplies?
Technically, no. However, we’re happy to review your supply list and see if we have anything you need in our warehouse or can pair you with one of our sponsors for supplies.
Where can I find information about the spaces available for these showcases?
We have put together this document that includes maps of the hotel spaces and specifications for the spaces. Please note: Stages in Salons 1 and 2 are 6′ x 8′ and 1.5 feet off the ground.
What are the rules?
- DO NO DAMAGE, MAKE NO MESS: In the spirit of being mindful guests, art pieces and their install process should follow “leave no trace” principles. This means refraining from putting holes in walls or otherwise damaging hotel property as well as avoiding any materials that might make a mess (we’re looking at you, glitter!). Some damage-free options include magnetic hooks, free-standing photo backdrop frames, and painters tape. Unfortunately command hooks are not allowed to be affixed to hotel property.
- ART PIECES MUST BE INSTALLED BY END OF THE DAY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 22nd. You may start your install as early as the morning of Monday, April 21st. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide people to help, but you are welcome to bring in extra help as needed to complete your installation in time.
- TAKE SPACE LIMITATIONS INTO CONSIDERATION. Some spaces have special circumstances that should be factored into your design. You can find a list of spaces with dimensions and limitations here.
